Why Europe!

We are witnessing nothing less than the transition to a new age – a “Zeitenwende“. Facing the challenges of multiple crises we need to rethink the way forward to a more resilient and sustainable future.

“Why Europe!“ is not a question, it must be the answer: answer to the fundamental questions of our times: How can we preserve freedom and democracy in a digital society? How can we maintain economic welfare and social justice inside planetary boundaries? How can we secure peace and security in a world of geopolitical displacement? And how can we progress to a better place in Europe.
Europe shares common values and visions but we lack a pan-European discourse across countries, generations and perspectives. This initiative of the cep Centres for European Policy Network therefore seeks to explore the common ground of Europe. We invite you to participate in shaping our common future. Read our interviews with eminent thinkers, listen to our podcasts from high-level politicians, business leaders, and researchers, watch our in-depth analyses, and feel the beating heart of Europe.
